Dr. Ancis serves as the Center for Accessible Materials Innovation (CAMI) Co-Principal Investigator of Minority Serving Institutions research track. Prior to joining the Office of Institute Diversity, Dr. Ancis was a Professor in the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services at Georgia State University and held a previous faculty appointment at Old Dominion University. Dr. Ancis is an APA Fellow. She has published and presented extensively in the area of racial and gender attitudes, multicultural competence, university climate, and women's legal experiences. She is the author of several books including The Complete Women's Psychotherapy Treatment Planner, published by Wiley, and Culturally Responsive Interventions: Innovative Approaches to Working with Diverse Populations, published by Taylor and Francis. Dr. Ancis received the 2012 Woman of the Year Award from the American Psychological Association's Society of Counseling Psychology, Section for the Advancement of Women and is currently Chair of the Section.
