About Web Accessibility Group (WAG) | Spotlight | |
The Web Accessibility Group (WAG) began at UGA in 2011 and transitioned to Georgia Tech's AMAC Accessibility in 2015. Its purpose is to bring together individuals in higher education attempting to navigate the complex requirements of Section 508 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. WAG currently offers web accessibility information and assistance through a wiki, listserv, and monthly online meetings where expert presenters are invited to share best practices and solutions. |
Dr. Beatriz Potter, a faculty member in the Modern and Classical (MCL) Languages Department at Valdosta State University (VSU) has been a leader in addressing accessibility issues in online courses and instructional materials. |
