Using the AMAC Student Download Center

Membership in AMAC means that you will be able to access your textbooks in a format that best meets your needs, including E-Text, Audio on CD, or Braille. Orders for textbooks must be placed by the DSP at your school. Contact your DSP for additional information. Audio on CD and Braille orders will be shipped to your DSP, while E-Text orders will be available for you to download.

Your membership gives you access to the AMAC Student Download Center where you can:

  1. Check the status of your book orders
  2. Download your electronic book files
  3. Download software that will read your books out loud
  4. View video tutorials

AMAC currently provides students with several iPad apps upon request. Students can request the ClaroPDF app or ClaroSpeak app for iPad when logged in at the AMAC Student Download Center. Both apps include text to speech functionality for reading and highlighting PDFs on the iPad.

Please see the following resources for recommendations for reading PDFs on Android devices and other tablets:
Mobile Devices

Please note, all mobile devices, including iPads and Android tablets require a zip utility app, such as WinZip to open/unzip zipped files. All AMAC Books are in a .zip format when downloaded from the AMAC Student Download Center or AMAC Orders.

Other Resources

Deluxe and USG AMAC Memberships provide students access to the AMAC Student Download Center, a secure site where students login to download their completed orders and assitive technology software.
